Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are using Black Lives Matter and identity politics to try and seize power this November.
But now it’s Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats that are facing accusations of racism.
And what Nancy Pelosi said about this black Republican just backfired in a major way.
As Conservative Revival reports:
When George Floyd died in police custody after his neck was pressed down by police officer Derek Chauvin both Republicans and Democrats were in complete agreement that the man responsible must be held accountable.
President Trump asked the DOJ and the FBI to look into the death of George Floyd.
His death should not have happened.
Yet the Democrats are working as hard as they can to make his death into a political divisive issue.
Republicans are looking to find ways to hold the police accountable like the Police Reform bill that Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) put forward but that the Democrats crushed even after Republican leaders offered to amend it.
Yet Pelosi said that the aim of GOP policing bill was “to get away with the murder” of George Floyd.
“They’re going to have to face the reality of police brutality, the reality of the need for justice in policing, and the recognition that there are many, many good people in law enforcement — but not all — and that we have to address those concerns. So when they admit that and have some suggestions that are worthy of consideration — but so far, they were trying to get away with murder, actually. The murder of George Floyd,” Pelosi said.
Scott, the only black Republican senator, has had a number of threats made against his life and also threatened his family after Pelosi’s accusations.
Yet Nancy Pelosi refused to apologize for her statement when asked by MSNBC.
She that she would “absolutely, positively” will not apologize.
Pelosi rammed through her police reforming bill through congress that held by Democrats without working with Republicans at all.
“This moment in our great nation’s history demands that we work together across the aisle to fashion legislation that works, legislation that makes a real and lasting difference,” said Rep. Jim Jordan, the top Republican on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. “Unfortunately, Democrats haven’t done that. They show no signs of wanting to do that.”
Pelosi didn’t allow any debate on the police reform bill or vote on any of the Republican amendments.
The Democrat bill would ban police from using chokeholds in any circumstances and no-knock warrant at a federal level and reward police departments who ban them. It would end qualified immunity and lower the standard for prosecuting officers.
Yet as Democrat rush to put out legislation of police reform and many cities defund their police, the level of crime in major cities is rising.
Yes police need to be held accountable, but they also need to be able to do their job, but according to Pelosi trying to balance these priories is the same as murder.
