Rush Limbaugh Explained There Was One Number That Kept Joe Biden Up At Night

There are just days until the American people find out if Donald Trump will win a second term.

Democrats are convinced media polls showing Joe Biden ahead mean President Trump’s defeat is assured.

But Rush Limbaugh explained there was one number that kept Joe Biden up at night.

The July jobs report provided further evidence that Donald Trump’s policy to safely reopen the nation’s economy and ditch the fear factor over the coronavirus lockdowns is working.

In July, the economy added nearly 1.4 million new jobs and the unemployment rate plunged to 8.4 percent.

When lockdowns cost the economy 40 million jobs in March and April, economists did not think the unemployment rate would go below 10 percent until the end of the year or early 2021.

As Rush Limbaugh pointed out, President Trump beat those expectations.

“We’ve now clawed back half the jobs that were lost to the coronavirus with, as Joy said, some of our largest states not even open. They’re still locked down. 1.37 million jobs were added in August. The unemployment rate has fallen to 8.4%. Nobody expected it to be that low. Nobody had the slightest idea. We have broken the 10% unemployment level faster and deeper than anybody thought possible,” Limbaugh stated.

Limbaugh put these numbers in context noting that big population blue states like California, New York, New Jersey and Illinois were still under lockdown.

“Now, as Joy pointed out, imagine, ladies and gentlemen, if New York and California and New Jersey, Illinois, Virginia, Oregon, Michigan, North Carolina, imagine if they were still basically not shut down. All of those states are essentially still in lockdown. Imagine if the hundreds of New York restaurants were open and busy instead of New York restaurant owners having to sue their own mayor and governor for keeping them shut down. Their own governor, their own mayor is destroying their livelihoods, telling them they’re not gonna be able to reopen until next spring,” Limbaugh added.

In New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio is saying he will not reopen indoor dining until June 1, 2021.

California is still under statewide lockdown.

And New Jersey Democrat Governor Phil Murphy announced that indoor dining, gyms and movie theaters would reopen in early September.

Had these states reopened when they should have, the job numbers would be even more robust.

“So despite this, the U.S. economy adds 1.4 million jobs as the unemployment rate unexpectedly tumbles, indicating the nation’s labor market is continuing a slow-but-steady recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. It is flat-out gravity defying. It is amazing when you consider the large states which are shut down,” Limbaugh concluded.

In 2012 when Barack Obama ran for re-election, the unemployment rate was 8.1 percent.

The fake news media hailed that as a major accomplishment despite the fact that unemployment was 8.1 percent when Obama took office in February 2009.

Unemployment from the Great Recession peaked at 10 percent in November 2009.

By comparison, unemployment spiked to 16 percent in April of 2020 because of the China virus and even with Democrat governors working against him, President Trump nearly cut the unemployment rate in half in just four months.

President Trump will make the case to voters that the rapid decline in unemployment –which beat all expectations – is proof that voters should trust him over Joe Biden to rebuild the nation’s economy.
