Rumors constantly fly around Washington that Donald Trump could replace Mike Pence on the ticket next year.
That speculation once again has picked up steam.
And Mike Pence had to sit down when he found out this truth about his 2020 fate.
Fake news reporters and some troublemaking Never Trumpers continue to insist the only way Donald Trump can win re-election is by dumping Mike Pence and adding RINO former South Carolina Governor and United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley as his running mate.
Even the hosts on “Fox and Friends” raised the issue with the President in a recent interview.
But President Trump – hopefully for the final time – shot down the rumors Trump would remove the conservative and loyally pro-Trump Pence and promote the Never Trump RINO Nikki Haley to the vice presidency.
“Mike Pence — I know I’ve seen this rumor that keeps popping up, and Nikki would be great, but Mike Pence has done a phenomenal job as vice president,” Trump told the “Fox and Friends” hosts. “He’s our guy, he’s my friend, and look, we have a great team.”
“Mike Pence is a great vice president,” President Trump continued. “He’s our man 100 percent.”
For her part, Nikki Haley also tried to tamp down this story before it spread like wildfire.
“The vice president and the president are a great ticket together,” Haley stated. “They’re solid. Solid enough that they’re going to win together. There is no truth whatsoever that I would ever in any way look to get that position. I think Mike is great for that job and I think that he’s the right partner for the president.”
There is no question Nikki Haley is positioning herself to run for president.
Haley recently published a book where she made a big show of pretending to be loyal to President Trump.
In interviews, Haley also defended the President against the Democrats’ impeachment witch hunt.
But it’s all an act.
Haley is the Queen RINO and handpicked candidate of the Never Trump Washington swamp.
In 2016 Haley attacked the President as an “angry voice” because Haley opposed Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” immigration agenda.
Once Haley was in the White House, she was one of the leading voices undermining Donald Trump’s “America First” foreign policy.
Haley supports the Hillary Clinton/George Bush foreign policy that Donald Trump campaigned against.
Vice President Mike Pence and Nikki Haley are the two most talked about candidates for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
No matter what happens in the 2020 election – Donald Trump will not be a candidate in 2024 and Pence and Haley will fight over who is better positioned to honor the successful Trump Presidency and still move the Republican Party forward.
But given Haley’s past betrayals of conservatives and support from Never Trumpers, the President’s supporters should not trust that Nikki Haley is the true heir to the Trump mantle.
