Mike Pence Did One Thing To Donald Trump That No One Ever Thought Was Possible

In the final days of the Trump administration Vice President Mike Pence tried to distance himself from the President.

But no one thought it would go this far.

And Mike Pence did one thing to Donald Trump that no one ever thought was possible.

As Great American Daily reports:

Donald Trump announced he would not attend Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Twitter banned the President for this message falsely claiming it was secret code to incite violence.

Instead of attending the inauguration, Trump announced he would leave Washington in the morning on January 20 to travel to Florida where he would begin plotting his post-presidency future.

The President invited hundreds of family members, staff and supporters to a farewell sendoff event at Andrews Air Force Base, among them Vice President Mike Pence and Republican congressional leadership.

But Vice President Pence and the Republican congressional leadership—House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell—made it clear the GOP wants to expunge Trump and his 74,000,000 voters from the party by dissing the President one last time.

Vice President Pence is skipping the sendoff to attend Biden’s inauguration and McConnell and McCarthy are going to church to validate Biden pretending to be a devout Catholic.

The Hill reported:

Pence is slated to attend the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden, and as a result will not be at the Air Force base. Officials cited the logistical challenges of getting between the two events. Biden is scheduled to be sworn in at noon Wednesday.

The top two Republicans in Congress — House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) and Sen. Mitch McConnell (Ky.) — are also not planning to attend Trump’s send-off. McCarthy and McConnell have also been invited by Biden to attend a pre-inauguration church service Wednesday morning.

The decision by Pence and the GOP leadership to cut ties with Trump and his voters in symbolic fashion by choosing Biden over Trump came on the same day Majority Leader McConnell divorced the Republican Party from Donald Trump rhetorically.

In a speech opening up the new session of the Senate, McConnell specifically blamed President Trump for inciting the riot at the Capitol on January 6.

“The mob was fed lies,” McConnell continued. “They were provoked by the president and other powerful people, and they tried to use fear and violence to stop a specific proceeding of the first branch of the federal government, which they did not like.”

McConnell, Pence, McCarthy and other establishment Republicans think they can just banish President Trump and his voters and go to the party of “losers with dignity” that John McCain and Mitt Romney led for nearly a decade.

The GOP’s future will be decided in primary elections in the 2022 and 2024 cycles.

But Republican leadership announcing they would grovel before Joe Biden rather than stand with President Trump presents the party’s rank-and-file with a disturbing picture of where the GOP establishment wishes to take the party.
