According to the polls Joe Biden leads Donald Trump.
But the President has a bigger problem on his hands.
And Fox News sounded one alarm about Trump’s prospects that no one can ignore.
Fox News Channel’s “Next Revolution” host Steve Hilton addressed President Trump during his most recent broadcast.
Hilton noted the urgency of the election approaching and focused on the biggest issue in America – and that is the coronavirus pandemic.
During his monologue Hilton noted that President Trump’s instincts to open up the economy were correct and that Hilton’s assertion that the virus was a threat to vulnerable populations – half of the coronavirus deaths in America came from the 0.6 percent of the population in nursing homes – but that for the rest of Americans it did not warrant lockdowns and closing businesses.
“Right from the start, we told you the truth about this virus, that most people have nothing to fear. That the right response is to protect the vulnerable, that the mass shutdowns were a massive mistake,” Hilton stated.
Hilton noted that the lockdowns were driven by hysteria and misinformation from the fake news media that demanded closing down the economy because they knew it would hurt Donald Trump’s re-election chances.
“Fueled by misinformation and hype from the Trump-hating media, just as we’re seeing now with a brainless and reckless obsession with case numbers, the doctors took to the airwaves to insist that everything be subordinated to the one single objective of trying to stop anyone from being infected,” Hilton added.
Hilton then roasted buffoonish Dr. Tony Fauci for his absurd claim that the virus spread in the United States because governors only closed down 50 percent of the economy instead of 95 percent.
To demonstrate the absurdity of Fauci’s claim, Hilton ticked off the list of economic horrible that befell America because of Dr. Fauci’s disastrous shutdown scheme.
“Here’s the shutdown toll. Over 17 million still out of work. At one point, it was 40 million, over $41,000 per taxpayer in government spending, over 100,000 small businesses shut down for good; and of course, the human toll. The mental health catastrophe and the disastrous effects of long term poverty on life expectancy,” Hilton added.
Hilton even undersold how much damage the shutdowns inflicted upon the nation.
In a July 14 webinar with the Buck Institute Centers for Disease Control Doctor Robert Redfield noted America was now seeing greater deaths from drug overdoses and suicide than coronavirus.
“There has been another cost that we’ve seen, particularly in high schools. We’re seeing, sadly, far greater suicides now than we are deaths from COVID. We’re seeing far greater deaths from drug overdose that are above excess that we had as background than we are seeing the deaths from COVID,” Redfield stated.
Hilton warned that this calamity – brought upon by a perfect storm of fake news media misinformation, poor medical advice and power mad governors – could cost Donald Trump the election.
