Fox News Published a Poll That Left Donald Trump Red With Rage

Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign could be the toughest fight for a second term in American political history.

The entire establishment as well as every major institution in America aligned against him.

And Fox News published a poll that left Donald Trump red with rage.

As Conservative Revival reports:

When President Trump announced his plans to run for re-election for a second term in the White House in 2020, he knew he would be favored to win.

Sitting Presidents rarely lose re-election.

The last time it happened was in 1992 with George H.W. Bush.

While before that, it wasn’t until 1980 that a president lost re-election when Jimmy Carter was destroyed by Ronald Reagan in an electoral and popular vote landslide.

But since taking office, Trump has known that Democrats would be coming after him with everything they had.

And while he was in a strong position as the incumbent, he also knows that he can’t take anything for granted.

Which is why when Fox News released one shock poll that showed the President was in severe danger of losing re-election, Trump’s campaign naturally took it as a major warning sign that they need to be aware of heading into the 2020 general election.

“A Fox News poll released Thursday showed President Trump losing head-to-head matchups against four of the top Democratic presidential primary contenders,” reports The Hill.

“The poll found Trump with 39 percent support among registered voters in head-to-head matchups against Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). The poll found Sanders beating Trump with 48 percent, Warren winning over Trump with 45 percent and Harris winning with 46 percent support.”

Make no mistake, these are bad numbers.

It’s a massive warning sign to the President’s re-election strategy to be down this much with over a year to go before he heads into the 2020 election.

And with the Democratic primary field still wide open, it’s anyone’s game to see who the Democrats select to face off against Trump.

But even so, the President is trailing pretty much the entire Democratic primary field.

And it’s a sign that Trump’s campaign may need to switch up their strategy to stave off what could be an electoral defeat if things continue on the current path.

“Former Vice President Joe Biden, meanwhile, beat Trump in the theoretical matchup with 50 percent support among those surveyed, compared to Trump’s 38 percent,” adds The Hill.

With Biden leading the pack still, he remains the most likely candidate to emerge as the Democratic nominee, though that could change in the coming weeks as other candidates such as Elizabeth Warren challenge him from the left.

Warren herself witnessed a massive jump in support from the last time Fox News polled the Democratic field, growing her poll numbers by 8 points in just a month.

What’s more, Warren is the second choice of a plurality of Biden supporters, meaning she has a very good chance of emerging as the nominee.

If that happens, Trump’s work will be a bit easier, as all he will have to do to re-energize his base is to attack Warren’s radical left-wing views in the general election.
